Charlie Widmer is the 19th Connecticut State Troubadour (2026–2029) and an award-winning singer, songwriter, and music educator offering engaging in-school music visits throughout Connecticut. As part of his official work as State Troubadour, Charlie brings professional musicianship, arts education, and cultural literacy directly into classrooms and school communities.
The Connecticut State Troubadour is an honorary position established in 1991 to serve as an ambassador of music and song, celebrating Connecticut’s culture, history, and stories through music. Charlie’s in-school programs reflect this mission by connecting students to music as a living, accessible, and meaningful art form.

Charlie Widmer holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Western Connecticut State University and has been a professional performer and educator for over a decade. He has been:
