February 2024 Update: 30K Spotify Streams & Two New Albums in Progress

Hi everyone,

If you're anything like me, the cold and snow the last couple of weeks have been a welcome change from the weather we've had here in Connecticut! I know, I know, shoveling is no fun, commutes get harder, and we've got to look out for frozen patches left, right, and center. But if it's going to be freezing cold outside, I think we should at least have a blanket of beautiful snow to look at, right? I always feel transported back to simpler times when I see snow, and how at one point my only mission in life was finding the best hill to bomb down with my closest friends, pushing the speed or danger up that little bit more every time just for the fun of it all.

I suppose in many ways I am doing the same thing in life, and as you may have noticed, I've been a little radio silent. My single What Do I Need With Love has continued to grow (eclipsing 30,000 streams on Spotify alone this week!) and I can't thank you enough for listening to it, streaming it, purchasing it, and sharing it with friends. A lot is happening behind the scenes as we continue to finish up the production of my forthcoming solo album as well. Even On the Trail is back in the studio, cutting our first full length, and what I can say about both the band's record and my own is that all this music is something that I am so proud of and cannot wait to share.

Here are some things to look out for this month:

  • Shows are starting back up this month, with lots of new dates for March and April coming too! Check the Shows section of my website for all dates, and if you aren't subscribed to those notifications, click the link and get direct emails for every show I add.

  • Thanks to everyone that's been following me through my socials as of late! Head to these links Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok to keep up with everything that I'm up to and working on.

  • As always, I am teaching lessons during the week and looking for people who are interested. I'm still offering a FREE trial lesson in the Services section of my website, so please share with anyone you know who may be looking for lessons, or sign up for one yourself!

I'm not sure if I will ever really learn how to be patient in life, but that seems to be the central theme for me right now. I was listening to a podcast the other day and was reminded of an old saying that's really helped put my thoughts on the right track: "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans." All I know is I plan to share as much music as I can this year with you all, and here's to hoping we get to share in some of it, together, somewhere soon.

With love,

Charlie
