July 2022 Music Update: Birthday Reflections & The Ossipee Valley Music Festival

Hey everyone,

Another month has come and gone, with June bringing so many beautiful moments of music and celebration. I had my 29th birthday on the 17th and, like all of my birthdays, I was forced to reflect on the year that had passed. If I'm being honest, birthdays have always been especially hard for me. I tend to heap on all this pressure and guilt for where I am in life and where I so desperately want to be. But the saving grace that comes through each year for me is being contacted by so many people I love and being able to show my gratitude for their presence in my life in return.

Part of that has a lot to do with you and all the support you've lent me these last couple of years. Things are busier than ever, and so much of that has to do with you watching a video, sharing what I do with friends, and showing your encouragement, whether in a comment, like, or in person at the end of a show. So thank you, as always, for being here. Here are some things on the horizon:

New things this month:

  • My band On the Trail has several shows in the next couple weeks, including our first trip to Maine for the Ossipee Valley Music Festival! We are just one of a handful of bands picked for their band showcase, so we are beyond excited for this. Check out our CALENDAR and sign up to get email notifications about our shows.

  • Be sure to sign up for Show Date Notifications to stay up-to-date with all my upcoming gigs. You can also check the Shows section of my website for more.

  • I'm still offering a FREE 15-minute trial lesson in the Services section of my website, so please share with anyone you may know looking for lessons, or sign up for one yourself. Slots are limited!

I'm looking forward to heading to Switzerland for the first two weeks of August to visit family and take a much needed break from things. As crazy and demanding as life can be, it's so important to find that time to turn off, even if it's never as long as we'd like. Looking forward to sharing plenty of what I'm up to on my social channels while there. Hope to see you at a show sometime soon!

With love,

Charlie
