May 2022 Music Update: New Haven Symphony Soloist & Bearsville Bluegrass Festival

Charlie live on stage at Radio City Music Hall with Josh Groban

Hi everyone,

April was a blur of performances and auditions, and May is off to just about the same. Last month, I had the pleasure of performing at Radio City Music Hall three nights in a row singing backup for Josh Groban and all the special guests he brought out. Not only did I get to experience that stage and audience but we even came out of the floor for the picture above! For May though, the highlights are even bigger and better. Here are some of the updates for the month to come:

New things this month:

  • I will be one of the featured guest soloists for the New Haven Symphony Orchestra's Rodgers and Hammerstein concerts on May 21st and 22nd. I cannot wait to share the stage with my colleagues, all of whom I've had the pleasure of performing with in the past and who always leave me in awe. Get your tickets for the shows here.

  • Can't wait to be back at it with my band On the Trail the following weekend up in Woodstock, NY playing for the first ever Bearsville Bluegrass Festival. This venue is stunning in every way, and the history and energy of Woodstock is something like I've never experienced. Click here for details about the festival and come out for a couple days of pickin' in the beautiful Catskill mountains.

  • Be sure to sign up for Show Date Notifications to stay up-to-date with all my upcoming gigs. I've got some solo shows I'll be playing in the weeks to come currently listed. You can also check the Shows section of my website for more.

  • I'm still offering a FREE 15-minute trial lesson in the Services section of my website, so please share with anyone you may know looking for lessons or sign up for one yourself. Slots are limited!

Performing is back in a big way, and, while I feel like I've been running nonstop without a second to breathe, I keep telling myself not to forget what things were like just two years ago this time. Thank you as always for being a part of this journey with me. Sure hope to see you at a show soon and share a few songs together.

Best,

Charlie
