September 2022 Music Update: Madison Square Garden, Swiss TV & Bluegrass Wins

Hi everyone,

The last month or so--really ever since I returned from my trip to visit family in Switzerland--has been something of a fever dream, but a good one. I sang backup with Michael Bublé at Madison Square Garden, did more shows with my band than I can count, did a cabaret show at the Ivoryton Playhouse to kick off my grant concert series, Music for a Better Tomorrow, and WON the Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival Showcase Band Competition with my band On the Trail!

To say that this has been an emotional rollercoaster is an understatement. Never once in my life could I have imagined setting foot on stage with a mega star like Michael Bublé, a true class act in every way. Even more so, I could never have thought my band would win a competition like we did against such fierce competitors, all while remaining true to our sound and sharing our original songs with an open heart. The rest of this month is filled with even more adventures, so here are some things on the horizon:

New things this month:

• For the first time in my life, I am being flown back to Switzerland to be a special guest at Das Zelt's event, Young Artists! I'll be singing in Basel on September 29th and cannot wait to take the stage in front of over 800 people!

• To add the to excitement around my trip to Switzerland, I was featured in one of their biggest newspapers, Blick, talking about all the things I've been up to this year! Check out the online version HERE.

• My band On the Trail will be at the Old Sturbridge Village Cider Fest this weekend! Check out our CALENDAR for details and sign up to get email notifications about other shows as well.

• Concerts for my grant, Music for a Better Tomorrow, are now starting with one coming up in October and another in November. These shows are a chance for me to put on concerts that are dear to my heart while also helping these spaces generate much needed funds. • I'm still offering a FREE 15-minute trial lesson in the Services section of my website, so please share with anyone you may know looking for lessons, or sign up for one yourself. Slots are limited!

Fall is beginning to creep in, and while I do love layers, I'm really going to miss this summer and all that it brought. Life keeps moving on, sometimes faster and more frantically than I'd like, but with every chance to perform and audiences showing their love for what I do, I'm feeling full to the brim with gratitude.
